SF Book Club

Studying books on leadership, business, and other cool sh*t

Hosted by

We had our first meeting on September 23rd. Here's a recap. New sign ups welcomed. The first meeting covered the first 12 chapters of The 48 Laws of Power, so if you sign up now, you can either play catch up or only read that week's assigned reading.

When you sign up, you'll recieve an email that will get you caught up to speed.

***This month's book (September 23rd to October 23rd) will be The 48 Laws of Power, by Robert Greene.***

the Why

How many times have you read a book and thought to yourself "Now THIS is the stuff I wish I learned in college!"

or

How often do you read exciting books and say "How on earth can I implement this in my life?"

That's EXACTLY why the SF Book Club was created.

the What

SF Book Club is a group of young entreprenuers, startup-ers, and business people who meet once a week to dicuss popular books and ideas.

This group is not only focused on studying the books that are often negletted in the college curriculum, but on implementing the ideas we learn into our daily lives.

Yes...that means creating ACTIONABLE and SPECIFIC steps to apply what we learn. The subjects we study include: leadership, business, and other cool ideas.

Additionally, this group is about holding yourself accountable to actually finish what you start. Are you constantly wishing you could learn this or that but never actually complete the book or course? Then come to the SF Book Club.

the How

Each Monday the group will meet at 7:30 PM at the Clash Clubhouse. We'll study a book a month...not too fast, not to slow.

7 days before each meeting members will be emailed a set of questions to help guide their reading. At the meeting, we'll have at least 1 speaker who will guide the meeting. The speaker will explain how they've implemented the ideas of the week in their career.

There will also be group discussion.

Here are a few examples of the types of books we'll read:

Made to Stick, by Chip and Dan Heath

The 48 Laws of Power, by Robert Greene

The Purple Cow, by Seth Godin
